Hey everyone there are several announcements to let you know about.
1. We will not be having competition class on Monday the 10th or Kids Class on the 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. Then the 27th through the 30th for Thanksgving.
2. Testing...tonight I mentioned the 29th but then I realized that was Thanksgiving Weekend. So our NEW TESTING DATE (no one orange belt or above will test) will be Tuesday the 25th. They will test during their regular Class.
3. Iron Knights Youth Wrestling Club.
The Iron Knights Youth Wrestling Club is for boys and girls four year of age through 8th grade. Practice are held at Kenwood High School, but students from any school can join the team. Our purpose is to grow the sport of wrestling while having fun. Parents, come to our informational meeting to have your questions answered and to register your child!
Parents I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you enroll your child and have them wrestle. If you are on the competition team I would almost consider this a requirement (notice I said almost). 4. FINALLY UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS
November 22nd is a Judo tournament in Knoxville, TN. For more information including directions go to www.judocalendar.com or www.tennesseejudo.com under the tournament section.
December 6th is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament just outside of Louisville, KY. Information for this tournament is www.kybjj.com. This is being put on by my old instructor Helio Soneca.
February 7th is a Judo tournament in Nashville, TN. It is the state tournament and I expect every student who has been training for longer than 3 months to participate.
